Tim Braun has again been invited to be a guest speaker at the annual New Jersey State Police Advanced Homicide Investigation Conference which is held on the historic campus of Princeton University. The conference is co-hosted by the New Jersey Homicide Investigator’s Association and attracts homicide detectives from throughout the U.S and abroad. Tim will conduct his presentation on Health Care Facility Death Investigation & the Charles “Angel of Death” Cullen case, June 14- 18, 2010. Tim Braun (June 2009) received special recognition from the Director of the FBI for his recent work with a Cold Case Homicid Task Force which was comprised of nearly 100 federal, state, county & local law enforcement investigators. One of two retired homicide detectives selected to join the task force, Tim Braun conducted over 50 interviews during his 2 week (May 2009) deployment. This particular case recently aired on John Walsh’s America’s Most Wanted.
Tim Braun has been selected by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to participate on a specialized expert panel for the Cold Case Review Team. Tim Braun is also a team member of the NCMEC Project ALERT. For more information on the NCMEC or Project ALERT visit www.ncmec.org
Tim Braun recently commented to the Star Ledger on the 1995 murder of registered nurse Ethel Duryea which occurred in Glen Ridge, NJ. While serving as the lead homicide detective in the case Tim uncovered a strong suspect, murder weapon and a multi million dollar insurance fraud as being the leading motive behind the killing. BCI was requested by an out of state law enforcement agency to aid with a suspicious infant death investigation consultation. BCI assisted by attending the infants Autopsy, reviewing evidence and offering case strategy techniques.

BCI has been asked by the family of a young homicide victim to assit law enforcement with the case of thier murdered son. BCI has consulted with law enforcement authorities on the case and they have agreed to a coordinated joint effort to help bring resolution to this tragedy.
