BCI News Corner : July 2010 - While assisting a law enforcement agency with a cold case investigation, Tim Braun was invited to actively participate in the face to face interview of a convicted serial killer who is the prime suspect in the case. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, case sensitive information cannot be released to the public at this time.
May 2010 - Tim Braun & BCI is currently assisting and participating with law enforcement agencies on six seperate high profile homicide cases. These tragic cases involve child & adult murders from throughout the United States. Tim Braun has again been invited to be a guest speaker at the annual New Jersey State Police Advanced Homicide Investigation Conference which is held on the historic campus of Princeton University. The conference is co-hosted by the New Jersey Homicide Investigator's Association and attracts homicide detectives from throughout the U.S and abroad. Tim will conduct his presentation on Health Care Facility Death Investigation & the Charles “Angel of Death” Cullen case, June 14- 18, 2010. Tim Braun has been invited as a featured guest speaker at the upcoming Annual Conference for the Indiana State Coroner's Association. The conference will be attended by county coroners, coroners investigators, medical examiners and forensic pathologist at the Sheraton Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana June 11-13, 2010
Tim Braun (June 2009) received special recognition from the Director of the FBI for his recent work with a Cold Case Homicide Task Force which was comprised of nearly 100 federal, state, county & local law enforcement investigators. One of two retired homicide detectives selected to join the task force, Tim Braun conducted over 50 interviews during his 2 week (May 2009) deployment. This particular case recently aired on John Walsh's America's Most Wanted.
Tim Braun has been selected by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to participate on a specialized expert panel for the Cold Case Review Team. BCI was requested by an out of state law enforcement agency to aid with a suspicious infant death investigation consultation. BCI assisted by attending the infants Autopsy, reviewing evidence and offering case strategy techniques.
